Lane Nieset is a freelance writer from Miami who has called France home for more than a decade. Currently based in Paris, her travels have taken her across all seven continents to more than 70 countries, where she's tried everything from glacier trekking in the Alps to snowshoeing in Antarctica and hiking in Bhutan. She covers a mix of travel, food, wine, fashion, and design for a variety of publications including Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Town & Country, Vogue.com, Food & Wine, and Decanter, where she writes a luxury travel column. She's a contributing author of guidebooks for Frommer's and has been featured as a host in BBC Travel's RSVP Abroad series, as well as partnered with brands like Seabourn on video content. When she's not on the road, you can find her at a cafe or cave à vin in Paris or Monaco (her part-time home) with her trusty sidekick and travel companion, her pomeranian Indiana Jones.
