Crown & Caliber is an online, modern solution for buying and selling watches. This is a big purchase and we don’t think it should be overwhelming or risky. Essentially, we’re your watch guide. We’ll help you find something new for your wrist or help you leave behind something that you just aren’t that into anymore. Whichever solution you need, we strive to make sure that you leave feeling confident you made the right choice.
It started over lunch
Like many ideas, this one began over lunch. After hearing a friend lament his watch-selling experience involving countless hours in the car, sketchy parking lot invitations, and one foreign prince scam, our CEO and Founder, Hamilton Powell, knew there had to be a better way to transact in this space. So, after a ton of research, Crown & Caliber began as a seller’s platform. It then evolved, as all good things do, into a place where you could buy and sell with ease. Now, we carry 40 plus brands, own every watch on our site and complete tens of thousands of transactions each year.
So, what makes us different?
As a company, we recognize the need for convenience and transparency in a pre-owned industry that isn’t known for either. So, we decided to do things a little differently:

We’ve invested in a team Swiss-certified watchmakers, experienced technicians, and refinishers.
We offer a risk-free experience, which in non-marketing speak means if you don’t like the watch, send it back. Oh, and the shipping and in-transit insurance is on us.

For the better part of 20 years, I have led teams that put customers and their experience first. I started working at my Dad’s lot as a teenager, and then moved into the car industry behind-the-scenes after a stint in management consultant. From cars, watches seemed like a natural progression to an industry ready to evolve.
I’m not only passionate about the customer experience and driving innovation, I also love building teams - growing leaders along the way. I believe using data, innovation, and some grit you will achieve a lot of wins. When I’m not at Crown & Caliber, you can find me hanging out with my wife and two boys exploring outside.
Rob Lamb CFO
I have spent the better part of the past 20 years focused on strategic financial leadership primarily in the digital media & entertainment industry. Over this time, I have partnered with business leaders to build successful business models, launch digital products and support high growth businesses. I enjoy working in fast paced environments where agility and flexibility are key, while ensuring the business has the necessary controls and processes in place to stay firmly on the path to success.
I am blessed to have an amazing wife and two daughters supporting and motivating me in all I do. I am also a former collegiate baseball player and a want-to-be guitarist that imagines I am more talented than I actually am.
Ali Frost CMO
A self-professed marketing geek, I love focusing on consumers and understanding what drives their behavior. In my 20 years of experience, I’ve worked across Consumer Packaged Goods, Entertainment and Sports industries leveraging analytics and creativity to bring brands to life. My approach is to focus on building brand value and connecting with consumers while executing marketing plans that drive ROI.
When I’m not working, I spend time with my 9yr old son playing and watching ice hockey and with my art history background, I still attempt to give tours of art museums to friends and family.
