I’m not in the United States. Can I still buy a watch from you?
We are able to ship to many countries, a list of which can be found here. However, before ordering, please contact Client Services to make sure that your country is one of them. International shoppers are required to pay customs charges, as well as any associated import tax, VAT, or duties. These additional fees will vary according to country. Those interested are welcome to contact their local customs office for pricing estimates. We will include a copy of the invoice with every purchase, and each country will determine applicable fees from there.
In order to maintain our strict business code, we cannot label an item as a gift or declare a lesser value than the purchase price paid.
What types of payment can I use?
We offer secure payment through Paypal or by credit card through Discover, Visa, Mastercard and AMEX. Also, for international customers and clients working with our sales team directly over the phone, we have the option to do a bank wire transfer.
How do I know the watch I buy from your site is real? Are your items authentic?
Crown & Caliber certifies that every piece we sell is 100% real and authentic. We don’t accept any items that are knock-offs or that contain parts unacceptable to Swiss standards. We have five full-time watchmakers on staff with more than 20 years of experience in authenticating and servicing luxury watches. Crown & Caliber verifies the authenticity of each and every item through a multi-point process, and if any items do not fit our rigorous quality standards, they are not accepted. If, for whatever reason, you find your watch is not authentic, we offer a money-back guarantee and will refund 100% of the purchase price.
How do you determine the strike-through price on your watches?
When Crown & Caliber determines the value of a pre-owned watch, our Valuation team utilizes a database of over 50,000 transactions in the retail and secondary market worldwide. The comparative “retail price” on our site reflects the price reported by the manufacturer, or, we create an estimate based on historical data and our own research. As listed prices can fluctuate, our strike-through price may not always represent the actual price listed by authorized dealers. For international clients, our strike-through price is based on what a new watch would be sold for in the US, plus taxes, shipping, and additional international surcharges if applicable.
Nothing can replace your own comparison shopping, however, and, notwithstanding our posted strike-through price quotes, if this is an important factor for you in your purchasing decision, then we recommend you conduct your own individual search as well.
Do items come with original packaging and paperwork?
Our watches are certified pre-owned, which means that not all sellers are able to provide the original box or papers. If they are available, the original packaging and paperwork will be mentioned in the item description and shipped with your order.
Do you have any new items or are all of your items pre-owned?
Crown & Caliber is not an authorized dealer of new merchandise for any watch manufacturer. All of our watches are certified pre-owned items that we verify for authenticity and service to make like-new.
Do I need to pay sales tax?
Crown & Caliber is currently obligated to collect sales tax on orders shipped to addresses in Georgia. Each state has individual tax laws that specify what purchases are subject to sales tax, and people who live in a state without sales tax won't be charged on goods they have shipped.
Shipping for Buyers
How does shipping work?
For domestic customers, we offer free UPS 2nd Day Air insured shipping. There are no extra charges for shipping and we will ship your watch three to five business days after your order is processed. We can ship your watch to whatever address you designate, but you must be able to sign for the package.
For international customers, we are able to ship to many countries. However, before ordering, please contact our Client Services team at (800) 514-3750 to make sure that your country is one of them. We send everything via UPS Worldwide Express.
How quickly do you ship once a purchase is made?
Once we receive verified payment, we generally ship within several business days, unless otherwise noted on the item.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes! We offer free UPS 2nd Day Air.
What shipping providers do you use?
We use UPS.
Do you deliver to Post Office boxes?
At this time we cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes, or to APO/FPO addresses.
How do I track my order?
Once the tracking details are available, you will receive tracking confirmation via email.
Am I able to change the delivery address after I have made my purchase?
Yes! Changing your delivery address is possible, but we will need to get the new address approved by our third party fraud checking service. It typically takes about one full business day to get a new address approved.
Can you have my package held for pick up at a UPS facility since I wonâ€™t be home to sign for it?
For the security of your purchase, we are not able to have your package held for pick up. Your watch must be delivered to you at the address that was approved by our third-party fraud checking service. If you know you cannot be home to sign for your package, please contact our sales team and we will work with our fraud checking service to get an alternate address approved to reroute your package.
My watch is extremely valuable to me. Why should I trust you?

How do you sell my watch?
Once a watch is acquired, Crown & Caliber will sell that watch in a number of ways: through various e-commerce channels, directly to consumers, or even directly to our network of international and domestic dealers.
We accept a wide variety of high end luxury watches from our customers. For a full list, see our section on Watches We Accept. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list and know that we accept other brands as well. If you are located in the US and believe your watch to be worth $2,000 or more ($3,000 or more if it is a vintage model), we would be interested in helping you sell it. Likewise, if you are international and believe your watch to be worth $3,000 or more, we would be happy to talk to you.
How much is my watch worth, or how can I get valuation for my watch?
Our system gathers market data from many sources, such as online marketplaces or international and domestic dealers, in order to determine the true market value of a watch at any given time, ensuring you receive the most accurate and up-to-date pricing available. You can view the values prior customers have received in our Watch Values section.
What is your consignment threshold?
Currently, we only accept watches valued at $2,000 or more from clients in the US and watches valued over $3,000 from international clients.
Is there a limit on the number of watches I can sell with Crown & Caliber?
No, there is no limit. Also, if you would like to have an entire estate collection evaluated and sold, please call us so that we may arrange insured shipping.
I can't find my watch brand on your site.
If you can’t find your watch brand on our quote form, the best thing to do is contact Client Services at (800) 514-3750, who will help determine whether we will accept your watch or not. We do not accept any watches valued at less than $2,000 from domestic clients or less than $3,000 from international clients.
Does Crown & Caliber accept watches from outside of the United States?
Not a problem. If you don’t like the offer we made you, simply notify our Client Services team, who will close your case for you with no further requirements. Keep in mind, should you decide to sell your watch with us in the future, your case can be re-opened very easily.
When does my offer expire?
When we deliver our offer to you via phone, we generally allow you around 48 hours to decide whether to reject or accept it. If we do not hear back from you, we will consider the offer rejected and close your case. Keep in mind, if you choose to sell your watch with us in the future, your case can be easily reopened. However, please note that it may have to go through the quote process again, due to changes in the market over time.
Shipping for Sellers
Where are the UPS labels for me to send in my watch?
When you accept our offer, weâ€™ll email you a UPS shipping label with instructions on how to pack your watch to send to us. UPS labels are emailed to you within 1 business day after you accept our initial offer.
How do I ship my watch?
1. Call 1-800-PICK-UPS. You are not responsible for any pick up fees.
2. Personally drop off the secure UPS shipping box at a manned UPS location. In order for insurance to cover the watch, the facility must be manned, so please do not drop it in a drop off box.
What happens if my watch is lost or damaged in the mail?
We hope this never happens, but if it does, your watch is fully insured, at our cost, for the expected selling price (the “Reserve Price”).
What happens once I have sent in my watch?
The watch will come to our facilities for valuation and inspection by our watchmakers. A Client Services associate will be in constant contact with you throughout the process, but check out our dedicated page outlining How It Works to get an idea of what to expect.
Please note that if your watch is vintage and needs an abundant amount of parts, we may return your timepiece to you. Also note that if we determine that your watch is a replica, we will inform you of the cost to return it back to you and you will be expected to pay for the shipping.
Why do I need to add my driverâ€™s license information to the customer agreement?
We are required by state law to collect this information to maintain our precious metals license. This information is used to check against stolen property. Once we receive your watch, we must have this information in order to proceed with purchasing or consigning your watch.
How do I get paid?
All payments are processed by check and are sent every Friday through USPS regular mail. For international clients, we will do an international wire transfer.
How long does it take for me to get paid?
The amount of time it takes for you to receive your payment depends on whether or not you chose a cash offer or a consignment offer:
Cash Offer: Once you accept our final offer, we will send the check on the first Friday following your acceptance.
Consignment Offer: Once your watch sells we will send you a check on the first Friday 14 days after the buyer receives the watch.

With every single watch we sell through our marketplace, we donate $25 through our global charitable partner, which provides 12 children with essential medical treatments. The donations are used for purchasing and distributing treatment such as:

Yes, absolutely. Instead of paying you, we will use 100% of that payment to purchase medical treatment. This donation will not be tax deductible, as Crown & Caliber is not a 501(c)(3) organization.
What global medical organizations do you work with?
Currently, our sole partner is MAP International (www.map.org). We intend to partner with other global medical organizations in the future, but developing such partnerships takes a tremendous amount of time and research on our part to ensure a good fit for our movement. Therefore, we are very selective.
