Manufactured in 1982 (7.2 Million Serial Number). Watch is in very good pre-owned condition with some light scratches on the case and bezel insert. Luminous indexes, hands, and bezel pearl show rich patina. Leather strap with stainless steel tang buckle is a brand-new aftermarket replacement. Powered by Rolex’s 3035 self-winding mechanical movement. Please note that this model comes with a scarce, early-vintage style matte black dial instead of the next-generation modern style glossy black dial with white gold luminous surrounds.

Rolex Submariner ref 16800 transitional model serial# 7.2 million circa 1982 with matte black dial with richly patina'd luminous indexes, hands, and pearl. This is the popular transitional model with sapphire crystal, quickset date calibre 3035 movement, unidirectional elapsed time bezel, highlighted with a scarce, early vintage style matte black dial instead of the next generation modern style glossy black dial with white gold luminous surrounds. The current example is an exceptionally nice looking example with rich tan luminous indexes, matching original luminous hands, and with the "pearl" of the bezel insert, also a rich patina'd color. Recently fully serviced by one of our veteran Rolex trained watchmakers. Guaranteed genuine and offered with our 1 year warrantee of accurate time keeping and operation.
