Preowned Watch Details
This model was released in 2006 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the publication of Antoine de Saint Exupéry's novel, "Night Flight." It was produced in a limited edition of 1,931 pieces (1931 being the year his book was published) - 1,630 in stainless steel, 250 in rose gold, 50 white gold and 1 in platinum. The one-of-a-kind platinum model was auctioned off in 2006, together with a copy of the first edition of “Night Flight” with a handwritten dedication by the author, for $60,000. All proceeds went to charity. The hour counter disc contains the initial “A” from Antoine de Saint Exupéry’s signature. The case back features an engraved portrait of Antoine de Saint Exupéry in his flying suit. This timepiece is in overall excellent pre-owned condition. All photos are of the actual watch being sold. Powered by IWC's Calibre 79320 self-winding mechanical movement with an approximate 44-hour power reserve. Comes with original IWC box and papers. Limited edition watch number 1304/1630.
