  • it’s unfortunate many people are not including Invicta in Any “oldest watch company” list. Though they may not be the exact same caliber of watch they were wheN they first began in 1837, they certainly were one of the best AFFORDABLE swiss made Timepieces in the wOrld until beIng re-purchased by an American conglomerate in 1991 that saved it from going under making it older than many of the popular luxury watch companies around today.

  • What about Gallett have they not been around since 1455?

  • Blancpain has not been in operation continuously.

Within the last fifteen or so years, rights to the name were purchased and revived.

It’s an old name, but the current operation does not have a long vintage.

  • Cheers guys. Keep up the good work.

    • Thanks Kyle!

  • Good topic! I would say it depends on how you ask the question! Blancpain should definitely also be on the list!
