“Man of Steel” Cast is Full of Watch Enthusiasts

Along with the sun and heat, summer also brings along some great new movie releases. This summer is full of action packed movie releases, including Iron Man 3, Star Trek Into Darkness, The Bling Ring, and Man of Steel. Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, which will be released on June 14th, features the latest saga of Clark Kent, aka Superman, and his attempt to save mankind from extraterrestrial invasion. The cast is packed full of A-List celebrities, including Henry Cavill as Clark Kent, Amy Adams playing Lois Lane, Russel Crowe starring as Jor-El, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as Clark Kent’s parents, and several other well-known actors and actresses.

When Henry Cavill isn’t starring as Superman, he is living the normal celebrity life, usually with a Breitling watch on his wrist.

Cavill is seen here wearing a Breitling Super Avenger to this year’s Comic Con conference. Because he spends most of his time flying through the air and saving the world, he needs a durable watch that can handle all of the pressure-filled situations in which Clark Kent typically finds himself.

For his photo shoot for the cover of “Entertainment Weekly,” Cavill wore his Breitling Super Avenger.

Russel Crowe

Jor-El, who is Kent’s biological father from the planet Krypton, is played by Russel Crowe. When Crowe isn’t assisting Superman with saving the world, he is staring in plenty of other movies, often wearing an OMEGA Speedmaster Professional. In the movie State of Play, his Speedmaster is clearly visible is several scenes throughout the movie.

Kevin Costner

Another watch fan in the movie is Kevin Costner. In The New Daughter, released in 2009, Costner wears a Panerai watch.

Although these watches may not make an appearance in The Man of Steel, it is great to know that the stars we are watching on the screen are also watch enthusiasts!
